Sightseeing in Gwangju

In Gwangju we also did some sightseeing. Gwangju is a really beautiful city, with tree lined streets that remind me of Chicago. I really appreciated the nature and art in the city, which Daegu lacks since it is more of an industrial town. Below is a bamboo forest right outside of the city, another park that had totem pole like sculptures called Jangseungs. Jangseungs are traditionally used to keep the town safe when placed at the entrance. Lastly, a great sunset in the mountains.
