Derek and I are very lucky that we have made some great friends in Korea, two of them are Alyssa and Jeff. They are from California and are super cool, we always have a great time with them. Alyssa made me this super cute headband/ear warmer that I am obsessed with! She probably regrets giving it to me because I wear it so much that whenever we see each other we are headband twins. Anyways, it is super easy to make so if anyone knits out there I highly recommend making one.

Making a House a Home
I loved decorating my apartment back in Chicago. It gave me such happiness and it's a great feeling when you look around your home and feel good about what you've created. In Korea, I have a small studio with three types of awful wallpaper, yea three. I can't put anything on the walls and I don't really want to spend the money to make my apartment look the way I'd like. The lack of space for creativity makes me a bit sad but I have found a way to compensate, I have been decorating a dollhouse.
I found wooden furniture that I have been painting, I made rugs out of cork and paint and I've started making the actual house. I've been looking for some fabric scraps for bedding and upholstery too. I'll be excited to show off the finish product and will give a few updates along the way. Derek likens me to an old woman who goes home, paints her miniature furniture while watching her shows and drinking wine, and I have to say I like that picture.

Lanterns are super easy to DIY and make them your own. Here are a few ideas to get the creative juices flowing. Personally, I love the pom pom one. Also, remember the bigger the better!

Confession...
I've been on the juice.
I'm totally addicted to Starbucks unsweetened green iced tea, it's so refreshing!
Unfortunately, I'm not made of money.
Forunately I've made a recipe to DIY it.
Extra fortunately, its been extra hot here so it took only a hour or two for it to be ready!
Ingredients:
2 Bags of mint tea (I used mint melange from Trader Joes)
8 Bags of any green tea
Juice from 1 lemon
Put water in your tea container, the bags of tea in the water and the whole shabang in the sun. Let it sunbathe for a few hours. Add the lemon and serve over ice in your favorite glass because I know we all have a glass that goes perfect with iced tea.
Enjoy!
